Betty Freeman Smith

Betty Freeman Smith, 97, a native of Cut Off, LA and a resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA. Religious services will be at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Ted K. Smith (Katherine) and Cliff B. Smith (Vickie); grandchildren, Kelly (Billy), Terrie (Adrian), Rusty (Addie), Allison (Tim), Emily (Justin) and Tim (Shelby); great grandchildren, Jacques (Kayla), Laura, Kelsey, Benton (Paige), Holden (Angela), Justin, Emma, Sam, Jack, Preston, London, Kya and Griffin; great-great grandchildren, Tony and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Smith; daughter, Rebecca Edwards; parents, B.E. Freeman and Edith G. Freeman; brother, Eddie Freeman and sisters, Paula Guidry and Bonnie Miller.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to Jesus and her family. Her love for Jesus and as a teacher influenced many. She shared her love for God with everyone. She enjoyed nature and was very proud. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockport. Her legacy will live on through her family.
