Betty Welch Meaux, 80, a native of Sabine Pass, Texas and resident of Destrehan, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.
She is survived by one son, Timothy Neil Meaux and wife, Jane; three grandchildren, Chad Matherne and wife, Nicole, Ryan Meaux and wife, Angie, and Allison Matherne Trahan and husband, Jared; and four great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Ava Trahan, and Lila Grace and Adalyn Rose Meaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Joseph "Buddy" Meaux; her parents, George and Sarah Jones Welch; one son, Micheal Keith Meaux; one daughter, Charlotte Elaine Matherne; and three brothers, George Earl Welch, Gordon Welch and Eric Welch.
She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
