Betty Matherne Dufrene, 83, a native and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
She is survived by her sons, Carlon Dufrene Sr. (Debby), Kerry Dufrene Sr. (Becky), Byron Dufrene (Sandy) and Todd Dufrene Sr. (Lisa); brothers, Morris Matherne Jr., Lynn Hogan Jr., Roy Hogan; sisters, Geraldine Mahan, Beatrice Barbier, Sandra Yokum, Deborah Daigle; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh "Nunnie" Dufrene; parents, Morris Matherne Sr. and Alta Hogan Matherne; brother, Charles Matherne; sisters, Faye Powell and Rosalie Beadle and 1 grandchild.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
