Betty Danos, 87, a native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Charles Community, died after a lengthy battle with bladder cancer on Sun. June 17, 2012.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Visitation will be held from 9 am until funeral time on Thurs. June 21, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thurs. at the church, followed by an interment in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda and son-in-law Acie Weatherford, two grandchildren, Sammy Petrolia III, and Denise and husband Gary Thibodeaux Jr., four great grandchildren, Kelsey and Ali Thibodeaux, Sammy and Hunter Petrolia, two sisters Ruth Martin of Groves, TX and Kim Danos of Raceland, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny S. Folse, and companion Lovell Pertuit, parents Armond "T-Mon" Danos and Julia Matherne Danos, one sister, Ethel D. Benoit and one nephew Chris T. Savoie.
Betty was known to most people as "Grandma", to her great grand children she was known as "Tutty". She loved to cook. When you visited her she made sure you left with a plate of food. She loved to be outside and also to watch Dancing With the Stars. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was a catholic and a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in th St. Charles Community.
