Bessie Neal Naquin

December 27, 1923 — September 9, 2017

Bessie N. Naquin, age 93, a native and lifelong resident of Pointe – Aux- Chenes passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017. She was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She said her rosary every day. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great – grandmother, great – great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Bessie loved to play card games; watching "Everybody Loves Raymond" nightly; playing slots at casinos and attending family functions.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Neurological Unit in ICU at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans; also the staff and aides at Canon Hospice in New Orleans, especially Dr. Blalock.
She is survived by one son, Herman Naquin (Chyrel), daughter June LeBoeuf (Ray), daughter – in- law, Gayle Naquin, three sisters – in –law, Mary Ann Naquin, Lelia Naquin (Emray), Hilda Naquin (Eugene), grandchildren, Lisa Lapeyrouse (Eric), Thomas LeBoeuf (Patrice), Chris LeBoeuf (companion, Jennifer), John LeBoeuf (Ellen), Herman Naquin, Jr. (Iris), Michelle Angelle (Woody), Ryan Naquin, Danelle Bordelon (companion, Jose'), Kristy Harson (companion, Trent), Brandon Naquin, great – grandchildren, Joshua, Seth, Sean, Jacob, Caleb Lapeyrouse, Celeste Lapeyrouse Hebert (Alec), Jesse, MacKenzie, Abbey, Savannah, Tanner, Jordan, Kasey, Erin, Benjamin LeBoeuf, Casey Billiot (Joshua), Joey Naquin (Honey Lynn), Austin Naquin, Jessica Molinere (Brandon), Caleb, Matthew Bordelon, Brooke Naquin, Lindsey Dion (Dusty), Sarah Vizier (Tyler), Abby – Gayle Harson, Benton Bourgeois, Shellie Molinere, Jena Chauvin (Kyle), great – great grandchildren, Blake Hutchinson, Nevaeh, Halie Naquin, Coby, Dawson Molinere, Noah, Benji Chauvin, Alison, Mia, Zayne Dion and Levi Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynold Naquin, Sr., parents, Clabert and Olanda Dupre Neal, sons, Gregory Naquin, Reynold Naquin, Jr., brother, Luby Neal, brothers – in –law, Elmore Naquin, Thomas Naquin, sisters – in – law, Clista Neal and Kable Cunningham (Druis).
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at St. Charles Barromeo Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery. Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
