Bernice "Bea" Falgout, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018, age 90.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 23rd from 9:00 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church starting 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Bernice is survived by her children, Anne (Neil) Jordan, Patsy (Rick) Whitehorn, Gus (Evelyn) Falgout, Jr., Janet (Michael) Gros, Ruth (Stan) Breaux; grandchildren, Renee Lindsey, Paul (Jenny) Jordan, Claire Falgout, Nicholas Falgout, Brittany Gros, Megan Breaux, Ryan Breaux; great grandchild, James Jordan and brothers, Francis Matherne, Clarence Matherne, Jr., Robert Matherne, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Falgout Sr.; parents, Clarence Matherne Sr. and Cecile Matherne; brothers, J.C. Matherne, Kirlin Matherne, Jerry Matherne, Willie Matherne and sisters, Verna Theriot and Betty Zeringue.
The family would like to sincerely thank her care takers, Toni Shephard, Sherell Stevenson, Janice Nolan, Barbara Matherne, Janice Coleman and Yvonne Smith, St. Joseph Hospice and the staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and Lafourche Home for the Aged.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Nativity Church.
Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
