Bernadette Porche Matherne, age 62, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was a resident of Raceland, LA.
Bernadette is survived by her mother, Louise Porche; brother, Wade Porche (Sue); sister, Katrina Darcey (Chad); daughters, Stacy Gaudet (Jody), Karla Hill (Jace); son, David Matherne; 10 grandchildren, Tamika "Mika" Gaudet, Devin Babin, Bryce Hill, Alexis "Lexi" Gaudet, Kyle Babin, Brady Hill, Kiera "KiKi" Matherne, Jace "JJ" Hill, Jr., Dakoda "Koda Woda", Dayton Matherne; 1 great grandchild, Dustin "DJ" Perrillioux, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lindsey Porche; step mother, Edith Porche; step father, Leland Porche; grandparents, Sullivan and Louise Marcel and Liley and Inez Porche and step sister, Angela Loy.
Visitation will be held at Victory Life Church, in Lockport, on Friday, August 25 from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Services will be held at the church on, Friday, starting at 12 noon. Burial will follow services in Holy Savior Cemetery.
A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Thibodaux Cancer Center, East Jefferson Cancer Center, and Amaera Care Hospice for taking such good care of her.
