Benton "Benny" Gaudet, 62, a native and resident of Raceland, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Aupied Gaudet; two sons, Dwain Michael Gaudet and wife, Danielle, and Shane Yves Gaudet and wife, Rebacca; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Grace Gaudet; and four brothers, Norman, Arthur, Nolan, and Ray Gaudet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rene and Blanche Bourgeois Gaudet; his in-laws, Yves "Lou" and Theresa Champagne Aupied; one brother, Earl Gaudet; and one grandchild, Jessi Gaudet.
He was a parishioner St. Mary Catholic Church.
