Benson J. Plaisance, Jr, age 72, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May18, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux from 9:00 until 11:00 am. A funeral Mass will be held starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Benson is survived by his wife, Catherine Zeringue Plaisance; sons, Chris Plaisance (Romy), Glenn Plaisance (Ginger), Gregory Plaisance, Matt Plaisance and Paul Plaisance; daughter, Mary Robichaux (Jason); brothers Nelson and Charles Plaisance; sister, Marguerite Jones; 8 grandchildren, Alex, Jarron, Elise, Kristen, Meaghan and Gage Plaisance, Dexter and Macy Robichaux.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benson J. Plaisance and Vlyna Chauvin Plaisance.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is entrusted with arrangements.
