Beatrice Callais Guidroz, 95, a native of Golden Meadow, a resident of Thibodaux, and a former resident of Lockport, passed away September 9, 2018, at 8:10 a.m.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Beatrice is survived by sons, Gerald Francis Guidroz and wife, Stella Dabadie Guidroz, of
Hammond and Daniel Joseph Guidroz and wife, Julia Tregre Guidroz, of Thibodaux; daughters,
Merrill Guidroz Thomassie and husband, Eugene Louis Thomassie, of Thibodaux and Barbara
Guidroz Bourg and husband, Thomas Kenneth Bourg, of Houma; sister, Rose Mary Callais
Richard; sisters-in-law, Maude Guidroz Eymard and Patty Gisclair Callais; grandchildren, Toni Guidroz Deranger and husband, Scott David Deranger, of Baton Rouge, Scott Michael Guidroz and wife, Erica Shrednicki Guidroz, of Lake Mary Florida, Dr. Andrew Dabadie Guidroz and wife, Dr. Jennifer Thomas Guidroz, of Baton Rouge, Jonathan Louis Thomassie and wife, Heather Thibodaux Thomassie, of Thibodaux, Dr. Lance Paul Baye and wife, Claudette Davaine Baye, of Gheens, Justin Daniel Guidroz of Bend, Oregon, Kenneth Edwin Bourg of Windsor, Colorado, and Lauren Belaire Bourg of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Nicholas, and Allie Deranger of Baton Rouge, Nicholas and Suzan Guidroz of Lake Mary, Florida, Ana and Sarah Guidroz of Baton Rouge, Grady Thomassie of Thibodaux and Braden, Brenna, and Brooke Baye of Gheens; and numerous nephews and nieces. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelin Jacques Guidroz; parents, Lorris J. Callais and Simonette Curole Callais; father and mother-in-law, Luke Joseph Guidroz and Elva Robichaux Guidroz, brother, Lorris “Jun” A. Callais, Jr.; sister, Camelia Callais Richoux; brothersin-law, Dave Richoux, Leon Richard, Claude Guidroz, Edward Guidroz, Mark Guidroz, Jules Authement, John DeFelice and Johnny Eymard; sisters-in-law, Beulah Parr Guidroz, Agathe Guidroz Authement, Euphrasie Guidroz DeFelice, Agnes Josephine Guidroz and Anne Victoria Guidroz; nephews, Stephen DeFelice, Johnny DeFelice, Jr., Raymond DeFelice, and Donald Authement; and niece, Janice Terrebonne.
Beatrice was a Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Prior to her death, she resided at St. Joseph Manor and Audubon Health and Rehab in Thibodaux. Beatrice was well known for the many years she spent as a seamstress in Valentine. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and caregivers of St. Joseph Manor and Audubon Health and Rehab in Thibodaux, Dr. Chester Weimer and staff, and the doctors and staff of Regional Internal Medical Associates. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport or St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux.
