Barry Schaubhut, age 72, a native and resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
Visitation will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 17 from 9:00 am until service time. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the church, Tuesday, starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Barry is survived by his siblings, Steve Schaubhut (Beverly), Edward "Jimmy" Schaubhut (Doris), Brian Schaubhut (Clair), Sue Champagne (Wayne), Margo Tastet (Russell); godchildren, Jason Tastet, Shane Lunk, Gregg Champagne and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge D. "Mickey" Schaubhut and Mabel Schaubhut.
Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
