Barry P. Folse

d. April 4, 2022

Barry P. Folse, 57, a native and lifelong resident of Lockport passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022.

Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 19th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Barry is survived by his companion, Paula Sue Detillier Folse; mother, Elizabeth Betty Love Hargis Folse; children, Kimberly Folse, Christopher Folse and John Danos; step-children, Heather-Lyn (Jory) Falgout, Hailey (Zeke) Plaisance and Jacob Babin; grandchildren, Harper, Zander, Jack, Claire, Camryn, Anthony, Adrian, Cole, Brynilie, Ethan and Finn; sister, Joan (Andrew) Lemmon; fur baby, Snookie.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Robert P. Folse; fur baby, Mitzi.

Barry never met another soul that he didn’t consider a friend. A “gentle giant” would be the way that most of his friends and loved ones would describe his caring and charismatic nature. He brought an infectious level of kindness to every room he ever entered, and would shake the ground with his unmistakable deep chuckle that was present in every conversation and story he took part in. He was happiest on an early morning hunt on Eagle Island, or a late afternoon fishing trip in Leeville with his parents, Betty and Bob. He loved his parents, children, and grandchildren so unconditionally, and never missed a chance to let them know how proud they made him. His endless love, laughter, charm, and positive energy will be deeply missed by friends, family, and beyond. Though he has left us on earth, he is now free from the confinement of his disabilities, and able to hunt, fish, and hang out with Bob and Mitzi forever.

Falgout Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
