Audrey "Gabby" Folse, 83, a native of Raceland and a resident of Lockport, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at home with family.
Visitation will be from 9 AM until service time on Wednesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria Peters Folse; daughter Mitzi Folse Detillier and husband Michael Detillier Sr.; brother, Daniel Folse; 2 sisters, Isabelle Dufrene and Elsie Comeaux; 2 granddaughters, Erica and Lindsey Triche; 3 step-grandchildren, Ashley Taylor and husband Josh, Michael "Mikey" Detillier Jr., and Krystal Detillier; 4 great-grandchildren, Mia and Max Moresi and Tristan and Grant Naquin; 4 step-great-grandchildren, Bryleigh and Brycen Taylor, Karsyn Smith, and Zaleigh Detillier; sister-in-law, Linda Peters and husband David; and brother-in-law, Andy Peters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Iola Folse.
He was the assistant superintendent of the machine shop at Bollinger Shipyard for 35 years. He loved his animals and sweets. He loved and watched over his family until his passing.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
