Arnold Joseph Chiasson, 80, a native of Larose and resident of Cut Off, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Carl Chiasson and wife, Terri; one daughter-in-law, Mary Chiasson; one brother, Herman Chiasson; two sisters, Frances Bourg and Arnie Sevin; and three grandchildren, Carlin, Jon and Fallon Chiasson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juliet Pitre Chiasson; parents, Serville and Augustine D. Chiasson; one son, Faron Chiasson and four sisters, Essie Robichaux, Eula Cheramie, Irene Pierce and Anna Mae Vinet.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of the American Legion.
