Armond Anthony Dominique, 84, a native and resident of Gheens, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at St. Anne's Hospital in Raceland.
Visitation will be from 8 to 10:30 a.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens, with interment to follow at St. Hilary Catholic Church Cemetery in Mathews.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Leota Matherne Dominique; son, Ted Dominique; five daughters, Ruby Plaisance and husband, Wade F., Joanne Adams, Charlene Davaine and husband, Claude, Priscilla Foret and husband, Charles Jr., and Missy Descant and husband, Tommy; sister, Gladys Melancon; and 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Dominique and Albertine Breaux Dominique; two brothers, Milton Dominique and Alvin Dominique Sr.; one sister, Irene Punch; one granddaughter, Michelle Adams; and brother-in-law, Rodney Adams.
Armond was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
