Armand "Cho-Cho" J. Plaisance Sr., 78, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Enola C. Plaisance; one son, Armand Plaisance Jr.; four daughters, Mavis Bourgeois, Melanie Bourgeois, Melissa Callais and husband, Timmy, and Michelle Plaisance; one brother, Harold Plaisance; three sisters, Mary Louise Smith, Bella Coupel and Shirley Plaisance; and 14 grandchildren, 13 gerat-grandchildren and many dear loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Lezima Duet Plaisance; one daughter, Margie P. DesOrmeaux; son-in-law, Ernest Bourgeois Jr.; one sister, Sadie Plaisance; and three grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
