Anthony “Lou” Joseph Allemand, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. He was a native and resident of Cut Off, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, LA on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. with burial following in church cemetery.
Lou is survived by his son, Paul A. Allemand and wife, Penny; daughters, Julie A. Brown and husband, Kevin, Laura A. Danos and husband, Leroy, and Amy M. Allemand and companion, Mitch; and 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Lou was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Lillian Guidroz Allemand, and 2nd wife, Diana Galliano Allemand; parents, Abel and Viola Kiff Allemand; brothers, Morris, John, Harry, Norris, and Loyman Allemand; sisters, Velma A. Babin, Thelma A. Chouest, and Shirley Ledet; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Jayden Landry.
Lou was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a Sugar Cane farmer for most of his life and a Master Tradesman and would help others in need. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, shrimping, crabbing and spending time at the camp. Lou had a loving heart and raised all his children in Christian faith.
