Annie Babin Pierce, 94, a native and resident of Raceland, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 in Raceland.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Charles Borromeo in St. Charles Community. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church, with interment to follow at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Cemetery in Raceland.
She is survived by one daughter, Rosalie Pierce Ledet and husband, Billy; one daughter-in-law, Gloria B. Pierce; one brother, Alex Babin and wife, Esma; one sister, Gladys Babin; and 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jessie Pierce Sr.; her parents, Paul and Elina Theriot Babin; three sons, Jessie Pierce and two infant sons; one brother, Louis Babin; one grandson, Milton Ledet; and one great-grandson.
