Anna Mae Callais was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She left the world quietly on October 10, 2021 at age 86.
She was a catholic and parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Cut Off where her funeral will take place on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Visitation from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm with mass at 4:00. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
She was born to Clovis and Evelia Plaisance Duet on December 29, 1934. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Callais, Sr.; her children, June (Jimmy) Lafont, Johnny (Katie) Callais, Jr., James (Darcey) Callais, and Joey (Gidget) Callais; grandchildren, Jeanne Lafont Olivier, Emelie (Destry) Cheramie, Hannah Callais, Dr. Tamara Lafont, Noah (Brynn) Callais, Dominique Callais, Jonah Callais,; great grandchildren, Colin Olivier, Jasmine Cheramie, Jayden Cheramie and Caroline Angelette. She was one of 15 children; sisters include, Mary Louviere, Mary Jane Falgout, Eula Mae Pitre, Victoria Callais, Betty Buisson, Thelma Doucet, Janelle Tate; brothers are George Duet, Clovis Duet Jr., Alcide Duet, Joseph Duet, Tyrone Duet; Larry Duet and an infant boy.
