Andy J. Peters Sr., a native and resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the age of 88.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, November 9, 2014 and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, November 10, 2014 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA. A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Falgout Funeral Home with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Lockport, LA.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Peters, sons, Andy J. Peters Jr. and Adrian Peters, sisters, Gloria P. Folse and Linda P. Glaspell.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Font Peters, father, Andrew Peters, mother, Lovinia Plaisance Peters, brothers, Norris F. Peters and Kirman Peters, sisters, Rosalie P. Hebert, Ione P. Plaisance and Irma Hohensee.
Andy was a WWII Naval veteran. He retired from Bollinger Shipyard, where he was a Superintendent of Repair from the late 1970s to the late 80s. Upon retirement, he enjoyed handcrafting furniture and toys from wood. Andy was a devoted husband and family man. He will be missed by all who knew him.
