Amy Breaux

Amy Simon Breaux, native of Vacherie, LA and longtime resident of Lockport, LA died at age 74 on August 4, 2013. Amy is survived by siblings, Robert Simon, Audrey Gravios, and Lillian Zeringue; children, Elizabeth, Annette and Paul Breaux, Andree' Couch, and Denise Soignet; grandchildren, Simone Couch and Ame`lie Soignet, and loyal companion, Curtis Cullen.

A 1960 highest honor graduate of Nicholls State University, Amy made a lasting impression on local education as English instructor at Holy Savior and Lockport high schools and librarian at Lockport Junior High, from where she retired in 1981. Holy Savior's institution continues to reflect Amy's service to its School Board and Church Council. Second only to her devotion to her family and children, was Amy's love for her great nation and those who defend its freedom.

Services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, LA, family visitation from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM, open visitation 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, funeral mass immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Savior Elementary School are appreciated.
