Amay Lorraine Galjour, 96, a native and resident of Cut Off, was entrusted to God's Loving Care on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 in Lockport.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be held at noon Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Janette Galjour Dantin and husband, Henry Joseph Dantin; four brothers, Syrus, Franklin, Restile, and Harris Lorraine; sister, Valerie Lorraine Jambon; three granddaughters, Susan Dantin, Polly D. Cheramie and Tracy D. Guidry; six great-grandchildren, Amy Arceneaux, Annie Arceneaux, Desiree G. Brunet, Adam Cheramie, Alicia Arceneaux and Whitney Cheramie; and three great-great-grandchildren, Max Arceneaux, Makalia Torres and Landyn Brunet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Galjour; and parents, Frank Lorraine and Olympia Pierce Lorraine.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Camille Pitre and her staff at the Lady of the Sea Hospital, Delisha, Carissa, Boo Boo, and Staff at the Broadway Nursing Home and Amedisy Hospice of Houma.
