Alvin J. Terrebonne, 84, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Lockport passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 28th from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
Alvin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Peggy Melancon Terrebonne; son, Duane (Cindy) Terrebonne; daughter, Christel Terrebonne; grandchildren, Caleb (Reba) Delatte, Erica Terrebonne, Dustin Terrebonne, Justin Martin, and Chelsi Martin; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Terrebonne.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Dorcellie & Enola (Ba-Bon) Terrebonne; son, Brian Terrebonne; brothers, Norman Terrebonne, Herbert Terrebonne, Donald Terrebonne, Raymond Terrebonne, Alphee Terrebonne, and Dorcellie “D.J.” Terrebonne; sisters, Ezola Bernard, Shirley Stokes, Joyce Terrebonne, and Lola Terrebonne.
Special thanks to Journey Hospice especially Nurse Bailey for the loving care they gave Mr. Alvin and his family.
Alvin enjoyed working his cattle and dancing with friends. He worked his entire life and retired from Bollinger Shipyard.
