Alton "Al" Joseph LeCompte, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, was entrusted to God's loving care on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at Ochsner St. Anne Hospital in Raceland.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church, with interment in the church mausoleum.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years. Gloria Detillier LeCompte; one son, Rodney LeCompte; two daughters, Paulette Ledet and husband, Beauregard, and Glenda Chiasson and husband Ray; three sisters, Delta Bourgeois, Anna Lee Pitre and Joyce Christen; and six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdnand LeCompte and Annette Chaisson LeCompte.
Falgout Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
