Alton J. "Pop" Crosby, 79, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Terrebonne Crosby; sons, Patrick Crosby and wife, Ramona, Phil Crosby and wife, Leslie, and Shawn Crosby and wife, Rachel; daughter, Angela Pitre and husband, Darren; brother, Richard Crosby; sisters, Mildred Gisclair, Louanna Guidry and Carolyn France; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Adrianna Griffin Crosby; and one great-grandchild.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
