Alton "Butch" Joseph Bourgeois, 90, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Houma, died at 11:18 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Marie Bourgeois; five sons, Eric, Douglas and wife, Tina, Todd and companion, Jill, and Archie Eskind and Lee Bourgeois; and seven granddaughters and three great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Octave and Josephine Ayo Bourgeois; nine brothers, Luke, Whitney, Mason, Eddie, George, Hudson, Wilson, Milton, and Nelson Bourgeois; and two sisters, Leah and Magnolia Bourgeois.
He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary and an Army World War II veteran.
