Allen J. Orgeron

Allen "Pookie" Orgeron, 63, a native of Lockport and resident of Mathews passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014.Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Hilary followed by burial in Holy Savoir cemetery.He is survived by his wife, Frances Chiasson Orgeron; father, Irvin J. Orgeron; daughters, Allison Orgeron Comeaux and husband, Chris, Jaime Michelle Orgeron and companion, Lance Griffin; grandchildren, Lanie and Kylie Comeaux, Jacon and Abbey Griffin; and great granddaughter, Addilynn Roberts.He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Louise Orgeron.The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Russell Henry and his staff, Terrebonne General Medical Center and MD Anderson for their care provided to Pookie.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
