Aline Marie Hebert Barker

Aline Marie Hebert Barker passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 98. She was a native of Larose, Louisiana, and a resident of Lockport, Louisiana. She is survived by her six children, John Barker Jr. (Mary), Alex Barker (Josie), James “Jimmy” Barker (Ann), Michael Barker (Barbara), Aline “Yogi” Matherne (Jody), and Patrick Barker (Ann); her fifteen grandchildren, David Barker, Jackie Robichaux, Jenny Hatty, Lauren Ledet, Maggie Fontenot, Alyse Blanchard, Paul Barker, Fr. John David Matherne, Betsy Arceneaux, Joseph Barker, Michelle Barker, James Barker, Kyle Barker, Jacob Barker, and Brooke Barker; her eleven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Rene Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Barker; her parents, Alex Hebert, and Veleda Barbier Hebert; her great-grandson, Jack William Hatty; her sister, Agatha Hebert Badeaux; and her brothers, Thomas Hebert, Alex Hebert, and Lionel Hebert.
Aline, a devout Catholic, loved unconditionally and lived faithfully. Her faith could move mountains. She always saw the glass half full.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at St. Hilary Catholic Church, in Raceland, Louisiana, from 9:00 a.m. until service time. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
