Alice Mae Robichaux Borne

Alice Mae Robichaux Borne, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the age of 96.

Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, on Saturday, May 18th starting at 10:30 am until service time. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon.

Alice is survived by her husband of 72 years, Leonard J. Borne, children, Gary P. Borne (Suzanne) and Gregory J. Borne (Lea); grandchildren, Michael Borne (Missy), David Borne (Betsy), Sarah Swasta (Jacob), Brandi Degruise (Eric), Amy Crochet (Robert); 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and sister, Marguerite Guidry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clothilde Robichaux; infant son, Terry Borne and siblings, Abe Robichaux, Denis Robichaux, Mary Baudoin, Celina Theriot, Theresa Sampey, Linda Babin and Albert A. Robichaux.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Homestead Assisted Living, The Suites at Sugar Mill Point and Haydel Memorial Hospice for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org in her name are preferred.
