Alice Duet Eschete, 62, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time today at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the chapel, with burial in St. Bridget Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney "Coon" A. Eschete; her mother, Antoinette Duet Rodrigue and stepfather, Edward Joseph Rodrigue; one son, Todd and wife, Bridget White Eschette; former son-in-law, Brian Bonvillain; three daughters, Gwendolyn Bergeron and companion, Joshua Ledet, Cathy Brown and husband, James "Jamie" Jr., and Cindy and husband, Johnlee Barnett; her grandchildren, Austin Michael, Lacey Marie, and Brennan Bonvillain, Greg Anthony Bergeron, Brad Thomas Brown and Baby boy Ledet due Nov.; and four brothers, Ralph and wife, Jane Stein Duet, David and wife, Nora Rougee Duet, Kenneth and wife, Savannah Rouley, and Ronnie and wife, Renee Lacaze Duet.
She was preceded in death by her father, Horace H. Duet; son-in-law, Gene Autry Bergeron; and grandparents, Corinne and Willie Bergeron, and Amelia and Leonard Duet.
She was a parishioner of St. Anthony. She was an expert cook and baker.
