Alex Joseph Babin
October 17, 1920 — August 26, 2018
Alex Joseph Babin, a native and resident of Raceland, ended his long journey of 97 years here on earth on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Saturday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Babin; nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Esma Knight Babin; his beloved daughter, Diane Marie Babin; his parents, Elina T. and Paul Babin; his siblings, Annie B. Pierce, Louis Babin, Gladys B. Babin and his in-laws, Lelia and Albert Knight.
He is now at rest with all his loved ones who preceded him in death.
He was a retired farmer, builder and NSU employee. He loved his gardening projects and took pride in the results.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
