Alan Guidry, Sr., 71, a native and resident of Lockport, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, in Lockport, on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 9 am until 10:45 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Savior Catholic Church at 11 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Alan is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mona Adams Guidry; sons, Alan Guidry Jr. (Lacy), Paul Guidry (Spring), Brad Guidry (Carla); grandchildren, Alex Guidry, Brennan Thibodeaux, Olivia Guidry Pellegrin, Keagan Billiot, Kendall Guidry, Elissa Guidry, Zackary Guidry, Brianna Guidry; great-granddaughter, Hadley Thibodeaux; mother, Doris Barrilleaux; brothers, Gary Guidry (Jean), Edward Guidry Jr, Tommy Guidry (Mel); sister, Donna St. Pierre (Eric).
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Guidry Sr.; sister-in-law, Joy Guidry and grandchild, Avia Guidry.
Alan proudly served in the United States Navy for 26 years. He retired as a Sr. Chief boatswain’s mate. He then was employed with Cenac Towing and Settoon Towing as a tugboat captain.
