Adolph Joseph Adams passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11 at the age of 93 at the Broadway Elder Living and Rehab Center in Lockport, Louisiana. He was born December 23, 1929 to the late Albert and Beatrice Sevin Adams. He was born and raised in Lockport. He joined the Army in 1952 and served in Germany.
Adolph was a house painter, a proud Army veteran, and a devoted servant of Jesus Christ.
There is something very beautiful and comforting about knowing he has transitioned to the very place he has talked and prayed about all of these years.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, August 21, 2023 and will continue from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Falgout Funeral Home, 600 Church St., Lockport, LA. A Military service will be at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Grace Christian Memorial Gardens, 2600 Coteau Road, Houma, LA.
He is survived by daughters Christine Adams Melancon (Ivy), Nancy Adams Stokes (Tobey), Dale Adams Comeaux (Bruce) and son, Dan Adams (Ernestina); 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters Verna Mae Baudoin and Elizabeth Arabie.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hilda Susan Gibbons Adams (Sue); daughters Kathleen Adams Baudoin and Phyllis Adams Yarbrough; son Rockwell Ralph Adams; grandson, Louis Willis Arceneaux III (T-Boy) granddaughter Laurie Baudoin Arcement; and great-granddaughter Fiona Nadine Stokes; parents, Albert and Beatrice Sevin Adams; brothers, Randolph, Russell, Patrick, Leroy, and Stanley Adams; and sisters, Grace Daigle, Inez Adams, Joyce Kasmiski and Hazel Maines.
The family would like to thank the Broadway Elder Living and Rehab Center in Lockport and Hope Hospice for their compassionate care.
