Adler Placide "Duddy" Madere, Jr., a native of Hahnville, LA and a resident of Luling, LA, passed away peacefully at his home on November 28, 2015 with his wife, Elizabeth Abbott Madere, by his side.
He was a devoted husband to Elizabeth for the past 25 years. Married to former spouse, Beverly Falcon Jung and had 3 children.
Adler is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, son Dody Madere and wife Rachael; son Steven "Bubba" Madere, Sr. and wife Gina; daughter, Meredith "Dee Dee" Goode and husband Bob. Adler was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Ashley Madere, Steven "B.J." Madere, Jr. and wife Brittany, Melanie Madere and Mandi Madere. Adler is preceded in death by his mother, Amy Gourgues Madere; father, Adler Placide Madere, Sr.; sisters, Lucille "Lulu" Ludovissey, Joycelyn Hoskin and brother, Ellis "Deacon" Madere.
Adler attended Hahnville High School and then enlisted in the Army in 1955 thru 1958. His last rank was Specialist 2nd Class / Specialist 5. He was employed by Monsanto where he retired after 30 plus years of service.
Adler had many hobbies. He had his HAM amateur radio license and was a member of the Plantation District Radio Club. His true passion was catching the big specks in the surf and spending time at his camp in Grand Isle, LA.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
