Richard Paul Champagne, 79, a native and resident of Lockport, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport, and on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 8 a.m. until funeral time, 11 a.m., at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his companion, Glenda Naquin, sons, Matthew Champagne and wife Charlotte, Peter Champagne and wife Dinah, four daughters, Anne Griffin and Husband Kirk, Joan Clement and husband Nicky, Beth Serra and husband Brian, Leigh Robinson and husband Damon, brother, Patrick Champagne, two sisters, Marie Bergeron, and Sister Marguerite Anne Champagne, 13 grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Becnel Champagne, parents, Paul and Emilienne Richard Champagne, four brothers, Hubert P. Champagne, Rev. Rene' Champagne CP, Robert J. Champagne, and John A. Champagne, four sisters, Lucille LeBlanc, Vivian Dolan, Rita Creswell, and Helen Gautreaux.
