Michael "Mike" Anthony Mendoza, 47, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. Mike was a devoted husband and father, veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a computer programmer for Placid Refinery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, and a second visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 am. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bridgette Chatelain Mendoza; parents, Robert "Bobby" Mendoza and Eva Broussard; stepmother, Gwen Mendoza; daughters, Morgan and Erin Mendoza; stepchildren, Eric and Danielle; sisters, Michelle Moss and husband, Sam, Marcie Breaux and husband, Duane, and Melanie Carlos and husband, Al; step-siblings Aimee and Jeff Richard; grandfather Anthony Mendoza; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie Mendoza, and Malvina and Adley Broussard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House.
Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge and Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland are in charge of arrangements.
