LeRoy Joseph Folse, 88, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Dianna Kinnard (Neil), Adele Benoit and Amy Robertson (Robbie); 4 sons, David Folse (Jeanne), Earl Folse (Nicole), Chris Folse (Peggy) and Wayne Folse (Paula); 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lydia Foret Folse; daughter, Laura Mae Folse; son-in-law, Farley Benoit; great grandson, Adrian Ledet; parents, Marius and Laura C. Folse; 6 brothers, Martin, Gerald, Earl, Ernest, James and Harold Folse and 5 sisters, Gertrude Grabert, Theresa Phillips, Marie Crotwell, Anna Mae Noto and Dorothy Bond.
LeRoy served his country in the United States Army as a Sgt. in the Korean War. He was a life-long mechanic, a trade that he learned from his father and also a trade that he proudly passed down to all 4 of his sons. He was the owner of LeRoy’s Auto Repair with his loving wife by his side for many years. He also loved helping people and was a simple man that adored his wife and family. He will be dearly missed by all who know him.
