James "Jim" Neideffer

James “Jim” Neideffer, 65, a native of Iowa City, Iowa and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Monday, June 17th from 9:00 a.m. until service time. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery
Jim is survived by his wife of 23 years, Janice Robichaux Neideffer; daughters, Katrina Neideffer and Krystal Hernandez (Marco) and step-son, Jacob Fonseca (Jen); grandchildren, Emma and Charles Dufrene, Riley and Bella Lowry, Paisley Hernandez, Hailey and Hanna Fonseca; sisters, Patty Neideffer Starkey (Bill), Janet Neideffer Rembert and Jackie Neideffer Ayers; sister-in-law, Patti Coupel Neideffer; brothers-in-law, Jason Robichaux (Mary) and James Robichaux as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Eileen Neideffer; sisters, Judy Neideffer Owens and Joyce Neideffer; his only brother, Gary Neideffer and in-laws, Albert and Leona Robichaux.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, “Papa Bear” and friend. He will be greatly missed by many.
In honor of James, please wear your favorite L.S.U. or Saints shirt.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
