Dennis Charles Hebert, 76, born in Sydney, Australia, raised in Houma, LA, and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at St. Hilary Catholic Church from 9:30AM until 11:00AM. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Julie Himel Hebert; daughters, Denise H. (Glenn) Martin, Anne H. (Adam) Layburn, and Stephanie H. (Dustin) Lambert; grandchildren, Kade, Mia, Juliet, Eva, Knight, Adrienne, Abigail, and Blake; brothers, Michael Hebert, Robert (Barbara) Hebert, and Charles (Mary Jo) Hebert; sister, Dorothy H. (Carl) Theriot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Dorothy Joan Galvin Hebert.
Dennis was a retired civil engineer from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. He had a passion for learning, especially mathematics and physics. Dennis also loved his LSU tigers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of MD Anderson, Cancer Center for the excellent care he received. He fought a courageous fight and will continue to live on in our hearts.
